Curtains

Textile systems that control light, sound and privacy — the softest element in a gaming interior and often the one that makes a room feel finished.

Luxury blackout and sheer drapery in a casino VIP room

Overview

Drapery does technical work disguised as decoration

In a casino, textiles manage daylight ingress that would otherwise disturb the trading atmosphere, absorb reflected sound in rooms with hard stone and glass, and provide the visual privacy a high-limit guest expects. They also soften rooms that would otherwise feel institutional.

We tailor everything: fullness ratios calculated per fabric weight, headings selected for the drop, linings and interlinings chosen for the acoustic or blackout target, and hems weighted so the fall stays true after years of operation.

  • Fullness ratios from 2.0x to 3.0x depending on fabric weight and heading
  • Blackout linings achieving effectively total light exclusion at the hem and returns
  • Fire-retardant treatment or inherently FR yarns certified to AS 1530.2 / AS 1530.3
  • Site-measured after base build completion, never from drawings alone

Textile scope

Eight textile services delivered as one package

Fabric, lining, hardware, motorisation and installation come from a single supplier, so there is no gap between the track contractor and the curtain maker.

01

Blackout Curtains

Three-pass or interlined blackout systems with return channels and overlap masters that eliminate light leakage at the edges.

02

Luxury Fabrics

Italian and Belgian velvets, wool blends, textured linens, silk-effect polyesters and metallic sheers curated for gaming interiors.

03

VIP Room Textiles

Heavier, richer treatments for salons privés, including padded pelmets, contrast leading edges and hand-finished hems.

04

Acoustic Textiles

Heavyweight and pleated wall-mounted textile systems that measurably reduce reverberation and speech transfer.

05

Motorised Systems

Quiet-drive tracks with BMS and scene control integration, remote or wall-panel operation, and battery backup options.

06

Custom Tailoring

Site-measured, workroom-made drapery with wave, pinch pleat, goblet or ripplefold headings, weighted and hand-finished.

07

Fabric Collections

Curated seasonal ranges with contract-grade certification, lightfastness ratings and confirmed repeat availability.

08

Maintenance

Cleaning cycles, dry-clean protocols, re-dressing after cleaning and inspection schedules for motorised hardware.

Technical detail

Site measure after the building is real

Curtains are the last element to be measured and among the first noticed if they are wrong. A drop taken from drawings will be out by twenty millimetres once the floor finish, track bracket and ceiling shadow gap are built, and that twenty millimetres is visible from across the room.

Our workroom measures on site after structural and ceiling works are complete, records every drop individually, and labels each finished curtain to its exact opening. Installation crews hang, dress and tie the folds, then return after seventy-two hours to re-dress once the fabric has relaxed.

Motorised systems are commissioned with the lighting scenes so that a single control command can close a salon, dim the room and lift the ambient level at the table in one coordinated move.

Advantages

Why operators specify this range

Typical applications

  • High-limit rooms and salons privés
  • Casino hotel guest rooms and suites
  • Restaurants, private dining and event space
  • Conference rooms requiring blackout for AV
  • Glazed frontages and porte-cochère interfaces
  • Acoustic wall treatments in hard-surfaced areas

True blackout

Returns, overlaps and pelmets are detailed so light does not bypass the fabric at the edges.

Acoustic gain

Mass and fullness are specified against a target reverberation figure, not chosen by appearance.

Quiet automation

Motorised tracks are selected for noise performance suitable for a quiet high-limit room.

Serviceable textiles

Cleaning, re-dressing and replacement of individual drops are planned from the outset.
