Questions
Working With North-Birch
Both. We operate an in-house interior design team for casino environments and a procurement division that sources, manufactures and delivers the specified items. Operators can engage us for design only, supply only, or an integrated design-and-supply programme where one contract covers concept through installation.
Frequently. On roughly two thirds of our projects the base building architect is already appointed and we work beneath their design intent, taking responsibility for loose furniture, decorative lighting, floor coverings, textiles, art and decorative elements while they retain the built fabric.
Our commercial floor for a full fit-out programme is approximately AUD 250,000 in supplied value. Below that figure we offer standalone consulting, specification review and material-library services charged at a professional day rate.
Yes. We are headquartered in Sydney with a sourcing office in Singapore and have delivered programmes across the Asia-Pacific, the Gulf and Europe. Freight, duties, local certification and installation labour are priced transparently for each jurisdiction.
Design and consulting are charged as a fixed fee against a defined deliverable schedule. Supplied goods are quoted as landed delivered cost with a disclosed procurement margin. We do not accept undisclosed commissions from manufacturers.
Questions
Design & Specification
For a single zone such as a VIP salon, concept typically takes three to four weeks. A full gaming floor with adjoining bars, restaurants and reception usually requires eight to twelve weeks including stakeholder review cycles.
Yes. Every concept package includes camera-matched renders of each key zone, a lighting luminance study and an assembled material board. Animated walkthroughs and VR review sessions are available as an additional deliverable.
We recommend it on any programme above six hundred seats. A mock-up room reproduces the final carpet, chair, table, lighting level and wall finish so the operator can test comfort, glare, acoustics and cleaning before mass production.
Gaming floors are lit at low ambient levels, so colours must be selected under the actual luminaire spectrum rather than showroom light. We test every finish under the specified colour temperature and record the result in the specification.
Always. Ceiling coordination, camera cone clearance, reflective finishes and lighting uniformity are reviewed with the venue's surveillance manager before ceiling and lighting layouts are frozen.
That is our preferred approach. We translate brand marks, colour equity and tone into interior language through carpet pattern geometry, metal finish selection, joinery detailing and commissioned artwork rather than applied logos.
Questions
Products & Manufacturing
Yes. Layout size, rail height, chip tray configuration, dealer cut-out, veneer species and metal trim are configured per venue. Standard production is nine to eleven weeks after drawing approval.
We specify commercial fabrics with a minimum 100,000 Martindale rub cycle and full-grain leathers of 1.2 to 1.4 mm thickness. In high-traffic banks we default to solution-dyed or crypton-class textiles for cleanability.
All floor coverings we supply are tested to AS/ISO 9239.1 for critical radiant flux and AS/NZS 3837 where required, with certificates issued in the venue's name and included in the handover manual.
In most cases yes. We can re-draw an existing axminster or tufted design, re-colour it to the current palette and produce a sample panel for comparison against the installed floor before committing to a full run.
Our standard range covers American walnut, fumed oak, figured eucalypt, sycamore and ebonised ash, all available in matched-sequence veneer leaves with lacquer, oil or open-pore finishes.
Yes. We supply DALI-2 and proprietary control platforms with scene programming for trading periods, cleaning mode, promotional events and emergency conditions, commissioned on site by our lighting engineer.
They are. We supply quiet-drive motorised tracks with building-management integration, together with the drapery, linings, pelmets and installation.
Questions
Procurement, Logistics & Compliance
Indicative production lead times are eight to fourteen weeks for custom furniture, ten to sixteen weeks for woven carpet, six to twelve weeks for decorative lighting and four to eight weeks for tailored textiles, with sea freight to Australia adding four to six weeks.
Foreign-currency orders can be fixed at the exchange rate current at order placement through a forward cover arrangement, which converts the budget into a fixed Australian dollar amount at contract signature.
Yes. Our logistics team prepares tariff classification, prepares Department of Agriculture documentation for timber packaging and manages port clearance, so the operator receives goods delivered to site rather than to a wharf.
All consignments are insured at landed value. Damaged items are photographed on receipt, a claim is lodged within forty-eight hours and replacement production is initiated immediately rather than waiting for settlement.
This is standard for us. We plan night-shift installation windows, use protective screening and hoarding, run negative-pressure dust control where cutting occurs and reinstate the trading area before opening each day.
Supplied goods carry a minimum twenty-four month commercial warranty, extended to sixty months on structural frames of seating and gaming tables. Warranty terms are issued per item in the handover documentation.
Every change is issued as a numbered variation with cost, programme impact and approval field. Nothing is produced against a verbal instruction, which keeps the final account aligned with the approved budget.
We give preference to suppliers with ISO 14001 certification, FSC or PEFC chain-of-custody timber, low-VOC finishes, recycled-content yarns and take-back arrangements for replaced floor coverings.
Yes. Our supplier policy requires documented labour standards, and we conduct physical factory visits before onboarding and at least once every twenty-four months thereafter.
Questions
Operations & Aftercare
We issue a written regime: daily dry suction on primary circulation, weekly detail work at machine bases, quarterly hot-water extraction and an annual condition survey. Following it typically extends replacement cycles by two to three years.
Where frames are sound, re-upholstery and refinishing usually costs between forty and sixty per cent of replacement and removes freight lead time. We assess frames on site and report honestly when replacement is the better investment.
On request we hold an attic stock allocation of carpet, upholstery fabric and key components in our Sydney warehouse, so isolated damage can be repaired in days without a new production run.
Yes. Multi-stage programmes are common. We prepare a phasing plan that keeps a consistent appearance during transition, so no zone reads as visibly older than its neighbour while works progress.
We provide a written interior condition audit covering wear, compliance, lighting performance and brand consistency, with a prioritised capital-expenditure schedule over a five-year horizon.
Each project is assigned a permanent account manager and a documented aftercare contact within our Sydney office. Support requests receive a response within one business day.
